A bus has caught fire in the middle of the road in Harbin recently, and the bus exploded about 2 minutes after the passengers were evacuated. So what should we do when we encounter such a situation ? Here are the tips for you:

1. Fire extinguishers -- buses are commonly equipped with fire extinguishers, which are usually placed behind the driver's seat, near the passenger door and in the rear engine box. Passengers who use a fire extinguisher can help the driver to put out the fire.

2. Safety hammer -- the safety hammer is usually placed above the window in the front compartment and behind the middle door. In case of emergency, the
passenger can use the safety hammer to break the window glass to escape. The correct method is to use a safety hammer to hammer the corners of the Windows, and the tempered glass will break and fall off.

3. Emergency switch -- usually at the driver's seat , it looks like the switch of the electric fan. When the door doesn't open properly, press the switch to cut off the air, release the pressure, and then the passenger can open the door manually.

4. Emergency escape window -- there is also an emergency exit on the top of the bus. Generally there is one exit at the top of the front and rear compartments. Usually, people mistakenly think it's a vent.  When an emergency situation causes the door to fail to open, you can turn the red switch on the escape window and push the escape window to the outside. Passengers can leave the vehicle.

5.Cover your mouth and nose -- fire smoke contains a lot of carbon monoxide harmful gases, which can cause suffocation and death. Cover your mouth and nose with clothing or towels to reduce smoke inhalation and effectively prevent suffocation.

6. Don't yell -- smoke and fire can cause severe respiratory and lung damage as people scream into the respiratory tract. So don't shout when there's a fire. Keep calm.
